Kalvin Joshi, Ph.D.

Kalvin N. Joshi Esq., J.D., has been a Faculty Member in the College of Business at Washington State University for 14 years. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Business Law and International Law. He is a Fellow of the International Business Institute. He is licensed to practice Law and admitted to the following Bar Memberships both domestic and international: State of Washington (Attorney), State of New York (Attorney and Counselor at Law) and the Province of Alberta, Canada (Barrister and Solicitor).

He is admitted to practice before: The United States Supreme Court (Washington, DC), The United States Court of International Trade (New York, NY), The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (Washington, DC), The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals (San Francisco, CA), The Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Washington (Spokane, WA), all Washington State Courts, all New York State Courts, all Provincial (Alberta) and Canadian Federal Courts.

He is an active member of the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA), New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) and the Law Society of Alberta (Canada). He is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) and several ABA sub-sections including Business Law, International Law, Intellectual Property and Global Anti-Corruption. He is a member of the International Practice sections and Corporate Counsel sections of both (NYSBA) and (WSBA). He is a member of the World Jurist Association (WJA).

He lectures to Undergraduate, Graduate and Doctoral students (he is an invited Speaker/Lecturer per the Ph.D. College of Business annual Doctoral Seminar). He conducts Global Executive MBA Seminars for International EMBA students for the College of Business. He serves as Faculty Advisor and Team Coach for the College of Business annual student Team entry in the Consortium of Undergraduate International Business Educators (CUIBE) Global Case Competition (Boston, MA). His Team placed First at the 2014 Global Case Competition.He has been previously selected for listing (student nominated) in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers.

His most recent writing is an article titled, “Social Media Law in the Workplace,” Pearson-Embanet (omba.wsu.edu), 2014.
