Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU)

Washington State University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).

Accreditation of an institution of higher education by the NWCCU indicates that it meets or exceeds criteria for the assessment of institutional quality evaluated through a peer review process. Accredited colleges or universities have the necessary resources to achieve their stated purposes through appropriate educational programs, are substantially doing so, and give reasonable evidence that they will continue to do so in the foreseeable future.

Institutional integrity is also addressed through accreditation. Accreditation by the NWCCU applies to the institution as a whole. As such, it is not a guarantee of every course or program offered, or the competence of individual graduates. Rather, it provides reasonable assurance about the quality of opportunities available to students who attend the institution.

Inquiries regarding an institution’s accredited status by the NWCCU should be directed to the administrative staff of the institution.

      Global Perspective

Technological innovation has given businesses big and small the ability to reach a global marketplace. The clear fact is that all business, now and throughout the 21st century, is global business.

The programs draw on an expansive network of relationships that the Carson College of Business has formed with institutions such as Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu, China, the University of St. Gallen, Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne, and the César Ritz Colleges Switzerland in Brig, Switzerland. Additionally, students may choose to participate in an optional international field study. The MBA international field study provides valuable insight into the business practices and principles of foreign marketplaces.

        • Tuition per credit hour: $750
        • Tuition per credit hour (active military and veterans): $658
        • Total tuition: $27,000-$39,000* (36 – 52 credits)
        • Application fee: $75

*All tuition and fees are subject to change.

        • Some courses may incur their own additional fees. Tuition costs above do not include the cost of books.

        • Federal financial assistance is available to those who qualify.

        Student Financial Services

You may be eligible for financial assistance to help fund your education. Eligibility for need-based financial aid – most commonly available in the form of federal student loans – is determined by submitting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Private loans are available from a variety of sources. The WSU Student Financial Services Office and the Carson College of Business do not specifically endorse these loans or lenders, and we encourage you to carefully consider all loan options. Students are financially responsible for their own tuition.

To learn more about the financial aid options available to you, consult the Student Financial Services website.

        Satisfactory Academic Progress

A 3.0 GPA is required to enroll and to stay enrolled, regardless of funding. If you do receive financial aid, in addition to maintaining a 3.0 GPA, you must meet certain standards of academic progress in order to continue to receive funding. Failure to meet these standards could result in financial aid being withheld. It is very important for any student who may accept financial aid of any kind to understand the associated responsibilities and required rates of progress.

To learn more, read WSU’s policy on Satisfactory Academic Progress and Academic Deficiency Requirements.
