Kenneth D. Butterfield, Ph.D.

Kenneth D. Butterfield is an associate professor and chair of WSU Carson College of Business’ Department of Management, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship. He received his Ph.D. in organizational behavior from The Pennsylvania State University. Butterfield has taught courses on managerial leadership and general management at the undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. levels. His current research focuses on the management of ethics, moral awareness, and restorative justice in the workplace. He has received various research grants, including one for work on the clean-up process at the nation’s nuclear weapons complex, and he has presented his work at a variety of national and international conferences. He has served on the editorial review boards of Academy of Management Learning and Education and Business Ethics Quarterly, and his research has been published in several management, business ethics, and higher education journals. His research has also been featured in numerous media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, The New York Times, and The Washington Post.
